Kyuss live footage has been revealed as part of the 10th anniversary re-release of Desert Age: A Rock and Roll Scene History.
The footage showcases one of Kyuss’ many iconic performances in the desert surrounded by fans.
While the clip doesn’t feature sound from the performance, it does manage to capture the hypnotic atmosphere of Kyuss at their peak. Surrounding the clip are interview snippets from guitarist Josh Homme and drummer Brant Bjork regarding the ethos underpinning their expansive sound.
A screening of Desert Age will take place November 7th at Festival Theaters in Palm Springs, followed by a Q&A featuring Mario Lalli, Brant Bjork, Nick Oliveri, Sean Wheeler, Sophia Possidon, director Jason Georgiades, and producer Trevar Cushing, and hosted by writer and anthropologist Natasha Berenek. Tickets for the screening and Q&A are available here.
The film will be released free for streaming via the director’s website on November 20th. Watch the new performance clip of Kyuss from the re-release of Desert Age: A Rock and Roll Scene History below.
