A major Reagan family member is officially back in Boston Blue.
After the end of Blue Bloods, Danny Reagan (Donnie Wahlberg) went on to get his own spinoff series set in Boston. Other characters from the original series who have appeared in the spinoff include Danny's son Sean Reagan, now played by Mika Amonsen instead of Andrew Terraciano), Danny's sister-in-law, Erin Reagan (Bridget Moynahan), and Danny's grandfather, Henry Reagan (Len Cariou).
Paramount Plus has now revealed that Danny's brother, Jamie Reagan (Will Estes), will be in Boston Blue season 2, episode 5, "Blood Diamonds". The episode has Jamie visiting Boston, only for the visit to be impacted by a diamond heist that tests the brothers' own unresolved tension. Check out the images below:
The episode will also feature Lena Silver (Sonequa Martin-Green) investigating a series of deaths connected to a parishioner of Reverend Edwin Peters (Ernie Hudson), Mae Silver (Gloria Reuben) facing a case of her own involving swatting leading to a man's death, and Sarah Silver (Maggie Lawson) and Seth Yates (Mike Vogel) encountering a surprising challenge while planning their wedding.
While Danny and Sean are series regulars in the Boston Blue cast, the other members of the Reagan family who appear tend to do so in a guest-starring capacity, which is the case with Jamie's appearance. Most of the other series regular characters are members of the Silver family, with Lena working alongside Danny in the Boston Police Department, Mae as the Boston District Attorney, and Sarah as Boston PD's Superintendent of Detectives. Sean is a Boston patrol officer partnered with Jonah Silver (Marcus Scribner), Mae's son and younger half-brother to Sarah and Lena.
