Multiple Sydney Sweeney movies have arrived on streaming in October, and out of those options, this is how they rank compared to one another. Sweeney's list of movies continues to expand, with the actress being one of the most in-demand stars in Hollywood. The fact that Sweeney produces a lot of the projects she stars in also gives her the power to experiment.
That has led to Sweeney starring in movies of diverse genres, including a superhero film, many thrillers, a horror movie, and more. Sweeney's slate of upcoming movies is also quite ambitious. The actress is set to delve into sci-fi in a major way with Netflix's live-action Gundam movie, as well as the adaptation of the sci-fi fantasy video game Split Fiction.

For those who do not want to wait to watch Sweeney in major films, they can do so now on different streaming services. Three movies starring Sweeney have been released on multiple streamers throughout October, all currently available, and one of them is even streaming for free. All three films are R-rated, and this is how they rank:
First up is the Sweeney movie that is streaming for free. The R-rated erotic thriller The Voyeurs arrived on Tubi on October 1. The Voyeurs was originally released on Prime Video, being an original movie from that streamer, on September 10, 2021. The R-rated thriller's cast comes with an exciting roster of young stars. Alongside Sweeney are Justice Smith (Now You See Me: Now You Don't), Natasha Liu Bordizzo (Ahsoka), and Ben Hardy (The Conjuring: Last Rites).
The Voyeurs, as its title suggests, is an erotic thriller that focuses on a young couple, Sweeney's Pippa and Smith's Thomas, watching their neighbors' daily life, including intimate moments and more dangerous situations. The R-rated thriller takes a dark turn when Pippa becomes fixated with the other couple, and shocking secrets are revealed. The Voyeurs has style and the sensual factor going for it, but it is not better than Sweeney's other two streaming arrivals in October. The Voyeurs holds a low 45% critics' score on Rotten Tomatoes and a matching audience score.
Anyone but You is the rom-com that resurrected the genre in theaters. The R-rated movie stars two of the biggest names in Hollywood right now, Sweeney and Glen Powell, who have electric chemistry and fun banter in the movie. Anyone but You was released on HBO Max on October 20. The rom-com originally arrived in theaters on December 22, 2023. It went on to gross $220 million around the world, with a sequel possibly in the cards.
Anyone but You is loosely based on William Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing. The movie follows Sweeney's Bea and Powell's Ben as they meet, instantly connect, hook up, and let a misunderstanding drive them apart, becoming enemies. However, when the two find themselves trapped at the same destination wedding, they resort to a fake dating scheme, filled with sarcastic remarks, to get Bea's family to leave her alone and make Ben's ex jealous. Anyone but You is a fun and charming rom-com, and it comes with a stellar 87% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes.
Finally, The Housemaid is the best out of the three Sweeney movies to be released on streaming in October. The Housemaid arrived on HBO Max on October 9. The R-rated psychological thriller became a massive box office hit when it premiered in theaters on December 19, 2025. The dark movie grossed $400.5 million. Which quickly led to a sequel getting green-lit — The Housemaid's Secret will be released in theaters on December 17, 2027. Both movies are based on the hit Freida McFadden series of novels of the same name.
The Housemaid stands at a near-perfect 92% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes.
The Housemaid sees Sweeney play Millie Calloway, a housemaid with a dark past, who soon comes to realize that the perfect couple she is now working for is not actually as nice as they seem. The couple in question is played by Amanda Seyfried, who takes over the movie's first half, and Brandon Sklenar, who delivers a charming and magnetic performance. The Housemaid is the best movie on the list because it is an ever-shifting film, going through romantic undertones to a full-on thriller with shocking reveals and a lot of blood. It is an intense ride, meriting a sequel, leading the Sydney Sweeney streaming list.
A young Montreal couple becomes obsessed with watching their glamorous neighbors across from the apartment, convinced they are witnessing an affair.
Anyone But You is a romantic comedy by director Will Gluck starring Sydney Sweeney and Glen Powell. Sweeney and Powell star as Bea and Ben, two strangers with an incredible first date that goes sour following one incident at the tail end. Thinking the worst is behind them, the two are roped into a destination wedding in Sydney, Australia, where they'll have to pretend to be a couple despite absolutely hating each other.
The Housemaid follows Millie, who takes a job as a housemaid for a wealthy couple, Nina and Andrew. While initially offering a fresh start, her position reveals the family's perilous secrets that far surpass her own challenges.
