Fresh off leading Captain America: Brave New World, Anthony Mackie takes on a grounded, high-stakes adversary in the upcoming Apple TV thriller 12 12 12. The series follows Mackie and Jamie Dornan across Europe in an escalating cat-and-mouse pursuit, supported by an ensemble cast that includes Jack Kesy, Agathe Rousselle, Sallie Harmsen, José Garcia, and Emmy nominee Kali Reis.
Created by Dudi Appleton and Jim Keeble, the series is scheduled to premiere on November 13. The narrative is structured around the rigid timeline of an ambitious heist: 12 months to plan, 12 hours to execute, and a critical 12-day window to evade capture permanently. The latest trailer highlights a deeply personal feud driving the central conflict, establishing that Dornan’s character took something critical from Mackie's before setting off an intense psychological duel.
Anchored by two proven leads, 12 12 12 positions itself as a sharp, stylish addition to the heist genre, blending the high-octane pacing of an international action thriller with the suspense of a ticking-clock procedural.
Based on your answers, the Marvel hero who matches your spirit, values, and instincts has been revealed.
You carry the weight of the world on shoulders that are younger than they should have to be — funny, loyal, and endlessly self-sacrificing.
You fight in the shadows between law and chaos, guided by a fierce moral compass that refuses to let the guilty walk free.
Brilliant, driven, and occasionally insufferable — but always the person who solves the unsolvable problem.
You've been through fire that would break most people — and it did change you, completely. What's left is unyielding, relentless, and operating by a code forged in grief.
Powerful, proud, and on a lifelong journey to become worthy of the legend you carry.
You believe in something bigger than yourself — and you fight for it even when the world has moved on and nobody else will.
The eight-episode series will make its global debut on Friday, November 13, 2026, premiering with its first two episodes before transitioning to a weekly release schedule that concludes on December 25. Behind the camera, Emmy-nominated and BAFTA-winning filmmaker Kari Skogland, who directed the whole of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier with Mackie, directs multiple episodes, including the pilot, and serves as an executive producer. Both Mackie and Dornan also executive produced the series, with Mackie producing under his Make It With Gravy banner alongside Samantha Corbin-Miller, David Knoller, and Jason Spire for Inspire Entertainment. The project is also produced by Paramount Television Studios and Anonymous Content. The new series is described as follows:
"Each episode of 12 12 12 unfolds across three timelines of a heist: the 12 months of planning, the 12 hours of the heist, and the 12 days following the heist. The series follows a disgraced FBI agent (Mackie) and an American career criminal (Dornan) who play a zero-sum game of cat and mouse across Europe. At the center of it all is the daring, epic raid on a bank vault deep beneath the streets of Zurich."
Tune into the first pair of episodes of 12 12 12 on November 13 on Apple TV.
