2026 has been a year full of successful projects for Netflix, both on the movie and TV side of the development aisle. The most-watched movie of the year for Netflix so far has been War Machine, the fan-favorite sci-fi thriller starring Alan Ritchson, who is best known for starring in Prime Video’s Reacher series. After the movie earned over 135 million views during its first 90 days on streaming, Netflix has since confirmed that a sequel to the film, tentatively titled War Machines, is officially in the works. Netflix also found success with the release of its newest Harlan Coben series, I Will Find You, starring Sam Worthington and Britt Lower. The studio has also enlisted KJ Apa (Jimmy) to lead Coben’s next adaptation, which is coming to Netflix in 2027.

Another adaptation that Netflix has in the works is one of The 6:20 Man, which is based on the David Baldacci thriller book series of the same name. This won’t be the first time that one of Baldacci’s books was made into a TV show, either. Back in 2013, TNT released the first and only season of King & Maxwell, which is only available to rent or purchase on VOD platforms like Prime Video 13 years later. There’s still no word yet on exactly when Netflix’s adaptation of The 6:20 Man series will be released, but the franchise itself is returning on November 10 with a new book from author David Baldacci. Launching in just a few days for only $15.99 is All-In, which sees The 6:20 Man, Travis Devine, leave U.S. soil and be drawn into a storm of billion-dollar secrets and international power plays. The book is now available for pre-order.

From, the Stephen King-approved horror series, is one of the most-watched shows in America on Netflix right now after multiple seasons were added to the platform earlier this month. The second season of Black Doves, which has been hailed as Netflix’s answer to the James Bond franchise, was just added to streaming today, but it has already surged into the top 10. As for movies, the most-watched title on Netflix in America is The Day After Tomorrow, starring Jake Gyllenhaal. King Arthur: Legend of the Sword, which was directed by Guy Ritchie, is also in Netflix’s global top 10.
